Information technology has been highlighted by the government as an area of expertise that is required by black people to facilitate economic growth in South Africa. MMC is fortunate to be able to play a direct role in assisting in the government's requirements as well as fulfilling its own BEE strategy.
MMC is committed to skills development in three areas, namely, management, sales and technical. Management and sales skills are addressed by MMC through a combination of intensive in-house coaching sessions and, where necessary, third party training. Technical training forms a core component of a technical engineer's job description. MMC holds internal technical training programs that are self-study-based and paid for by MMC.
MMC is an active participant in the learnership programmes in partnership with training organizations recognized by the ISETT SETA.
